My laptop is semi-dead

My laptop cannot boot up.
Somehow it's something wrong with the hard disk.

This morning, I can still can use it.
But after work today, I can't boot up anymore.
It shows "Operating system not found"

Since then, I dare not touch the hard disk (laptop) anymore.

Immediately,
when the laptop is down, I cabbed down to Acer.
But they refused to check for me and does not take in my set UNLESS I would want to leave with them for 3 - 5 days. Oh well, who will want to? Right?

So, tomorrow morning, I'm heading down again.
I hope everything will be okay.
I hope my data will be able to recover.
Because, I yet to back them up.
